A family run pub in Leyburn in North Yorkshire
Looking for a quiet pint in North Yorkshire? In the Wensleydale area looking for some good and filling pub grub? Or maybe you just want somewhere to rest your head and enjoy some Sky Sports?
Whatever the reason, we all find ourselves looking for a quality public house to relax and have a good time. So why not come down to The Bolton Arms?
The Bolton Arms
The Bolton Arms is a family run pub. It is an imposing building grade II Listed building made for the local stone, set in its own grounds at the top of the market place. The building itself dates back to the late 18th Century.
This one time coaching inn, took its name from Lord Bolton whose family have owned the local Estate. The Public house boasts a long history of providing good food and drink to weary travellers. It is said that a former landlord used to go on Horseback to frequent the local hostelries in the area and would have some trouble dismounting when he returned home. Thus the stone mounting block out the front was a later addition to the frontage.
Today the Bolton Arms still is a traditional pub but with a modern touch. With its magnificent open fire and comfortable leather sofas, is a warm welcome on a cold winter's day whilst you are getting to know our Bar menu.
In summer our patio is a bloom with flowers from the hanging baskets and window boxes. Just perfect for alfresco dining or to sit & relax with a cool drink on a warm summers day.
